I wonder how many percentage of a congregation has acces to internet and actually read blogs. It may be high in the States. I know it is very low in the Malaysian context.

hi pearlie. No, I don't have the stats on Malaysian Christian bloggers. As for the percentage of Malaysian Christians with access to the internet and read blogs, I know it is low in congregations I am in contact with except maybe in CDPC. It is however a gut feeling and I do not have the stats to back it up. Do you have the stats?

I am curious. Do you have any idea how many of your church members read your church website and your blog?
The blog is about a year old and access has been measured. We have 3,000+ hits for the year and we currently average about 300-400 visits per month. Traffic increased when I began to include blog links in my weekly eNews email.
The website gets about 1,000 hits a month. Mostly to access our calendar, bulletins, scrapbooks and online sermons.
Our church is getting younger and I think more folks (%wise) will access the site.

It will be interesting to know if the 1,000+ hits a month in your website is from members of your church or from elsewhere.
This is fascinating stuff. One of my areas of interest is how Christians can use the Internet to extend His kingdom.

I think that technology is a major issue of our age. If we want to be relevant we need to engage folks where they are. Of course I see the world through the eyes of a nerd-geek :)

I agree that technology is a major issue of our time. The last major technology was the printing press and it set the grounds for the Reformation. I wonder what will the Internet brings :)
