Henri Nouwen on Freedom
When we are spiritually free, we do not have to worry about what to say or do in unexpected, difficult circumstances. When we are not concerned about what others think of us or what we will get for what we do, the right words and actions will emerge from the centre of our beings because the Spirit of God, who makes us children of God and sets us free, will speak and act through us.

Great quote Doc!
Happy Advent, Bob
PS: Why do captcha and moderate comments?
What do you think being "spiritually free" mean, in practical terms?
Hi Pearlie,
I think he means we are spiritually free to be who we are created to be. Who we are meant to be in Christ.
Happy Advent, Bob
moderation required because there are a lot of nonsense comments and would be advertisers who think their comments will lead people to their websites.
Interesting question Pearlie. In a sense all believers are potentially free. In another sense freedom comes one spiritual step (of faith) at a time.
I get the moderation Doc but not sure why you would make us do captcha in addition as moderation seems to deal with the comments that you mention.
Bob,
the capcha is to prevent computerised software posting posts that I have to moderate. Surprisingly this blog is still generating a high number of hits per day.
Pearlie,
I know of your interest in photography. Check out my photoblog at www.alextang.photography
