A Gift for a Coffee Lover

Received this wonderful gift on Monday- a CBTL Kaldi. The perfect gift for a coffee lover (read caffeine addict).

From the Espresso/Caffitaly Coffee Guide
Espresso is the most popular coffee drink in the world. It has its origin in Italy back in the year 1884. Nowadays, Espresso is a concentrated beverage brewed by forcing a small amount (30 ml) of almost boiling water (94 Celsius) under a high pressure of 9 bars through finely ground 8mg of coffee beans. Espresso often has a higher concentration of suspended and dissolved solids and foam and all flavours and chemicals in a small espresso cup are very concentrated. Espresso is the base for almost all other coffee drinks, such as a latte, macchiato, mocha, cappuccino or even American coffee. Typical espresso has about 40 to 75 mg of caffeine.

Expresso/Caffitaly Coffee Guide is an interesting blog documenting the different types of expresso capsules for the Caffitaly/CBTL coffee maker.
